United Hospital Services is home to an on-site maintenance and tool shop. This allows UHS the ability to repair problems to the equipment or facility as they arise. This helps to prevent downtime and keeps efficiency high and cost low. United Hospital Services also houses a large parts warehouse for the equipment. This large parts inventory gives UHS the ability to replace both common and specialized parts if there is a problem with the equipment. Without having to rely on ordering a replacement part while a machine is down. This is just another way that UHS is working to keep the costs low for the customer. UHS also takes advantage of an advanced Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) program that manages work orders and preventative maintenance for all the equipment. This CMMS program also assists in managing the parts inventory and helps with reordering when stocks are low. |
