Non-Standard Linen Service

UHS is able to handle the specialized linens that are not part of the UHS linen program.  These items require specialized handling processes and bagging, which is the green bag, non-standard system.  The turnaround time for this service is 48 hours and is priced per pound, depending on the amount and the processing complexity of the non-standard item.

Exchange Cart Program

UHS offers an exchange car program in which exchange carts are built to specified par levels and are deliverd to a central location or directly to the patient floors.  The program assist  witht he linen room labor aspect and helps to efficiently distribute linen throughout the facility.  UHS purchases the necessary amount of carts and cart covers to accommodate each service hospital.  The exchange carts double as soil containers by repositioning the cart shelving in the down position.
