Jason Hartsell
Vice President of Operations
Jason Hartsell is the Vice President of Operations for United Hospital Services. His responsibilities include plant production, maintenance, and distribution. Jason oversees a team of managers, supervisors, maintenance personnel, drivers, and laundry workers.
Jason started working at UHS in 2004 and began working as the Vice President of Operations in 2022. Before that, he performed the duties of the Director of Operations since 2016. He has also served as the Director of Customer Service and Sales for United Hospital Services. In that role, he oversaw the addition of over a dozen new hospitals and over six million pounds of Hospital Linen added to the UHS system. He conducted educational events in the hospitals and worked with their staff on linen utilization, cost management, and end-user education.
Jason has also worked in other roles at UHS, including IT, Purchasing Manager, and the Maintenance Department.
He has presented education sessions at both TRSA and IAHTM conferences.
Jason has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Indiana University and a Master’s of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan. In addition, He has served as Commissioned Officer in the United States Army, including a deployment to Afghanistan.

As a cooperative laundry owned by hospital systems throughout Indiana, United Hospital Services only serves healthcare accounts — linen that comes through our facility is not washed alongside hotel linens or restaurant linens.
United Hospital Services is one of the few Indiana laundries accredited by the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC). In fact, United Hospital Services was the second laundry in the country and the first cooperative to earn HLAC accreditation.
